This is a random kwento about my mag-ama.
Since hubby is working in Manila-Subic and he only goes home every weekend, constant phone call is one of our communications. One weekday night before bedtime, it’s always a routine to talk to each other,my boys have their usual conversation too before we all doze off to bed.
Scenario:
Husband is talking to Xian asking how the little man spend his day at home while I’m carefully listening to my mag-ama’s usapan (which is of course, naka-loud speaker that's why I'm aware of the flow of their conversation)
Daddy: hello baby, how are you? Nag-eat ka na?
Xian: yes,kain baby. chicken ulam po.
Daddy: Ah chicken. delicious?
Xian: dicious! Luto ng inay.
Daddy: Ah.galing naman.delicious pala.What did you do today? Behave ka?
Xian: bi-hev! pe-play,sama kuya dale…kuya dale bah-low (borrow) toys ng Xian! (in his tone na nagsusumbong)
Daddy: Ah borrow lang naman pala eh, share kayo.bili ka na lang ni daddy ng toys sa Sunday. what do you like?
Xian: KA-QUEEN! In his excited and giggling tone (he’s referring to the red car McQueen.lol.
Xian: ..achaka robot...blue!
Daddy: ah robot.gusto mo din ng robot?
Xian: opo.
Then Xian’s kinda distracted for a moment because of a tv show. so it’s our turn to talk.
After a couple of minutes, the little man came back and had his conversation again with his dad.
Xian: daddy, watch si crush.. ayun tv!
his eyes instantly lit up (the “crush” he’s referring to is Xyriel Manabat of the tv show 100 Days to Heaven)
Daddy: (laugh) ah watch mo si crush.ganda ga?
Xian: yes,danda! *boyish grin*
Daddy: sya behave ikaw palagi ha.
Xian: opo.bi-hev.
Daddy: sya ba-bye na baby ha.sleep na kayo ng mommy.tomorrow na lang ulit.pray na ha.goodnight na. I love you.
Xian: u-night.. daddy.. Lab youuuuuuu.. ingat! (when he's just a baby we taught him how to say "Ingat" to other people every time we're having a conversation that's why he became used to it.)
Daddy: ka-sweet naman ng baby ko. goodnight. I love you din.ingat din palagi ha.
Xian: kiss daddy! mwaaaaah! (followed by a sloppy kiss sound on my cellphone)
u-night.. u-night daddy! u-nighttttttttt... ba-bye..
(almost 1 minute siguro sila ng pagpapaalam na di matapos tapos)
Then after 25 years the little man handed me the cellphone.
Hubby: Hello My,naiiyak ako eh.
Me: Hah? Bakit naman!
Hubby: tsk,tsk! big boy na si Xian natin eh,nakakapaluha.kaayos ng kausap.di na talaga baby.parang kelan lang..miss ko na lalo kayo.

When it comes to our kiddo,daddy's really have a soft spot talaga no?

awww touching naman! Ang sweet ng usapan ng mag ama lalo na nung bye bye time na.

ReplyDeleteThat also left me a bit teary-eyed, I swear! I just love it when men cry... no, I'm not a sadist! :). I just admire how they are able to express how they feel, and are not afraid to cry. That's a real man, in my book!
